Home / About me
I am an independent business consultant, registered with a professional order. I work alongside small and medium-sized enterprises, startups and Benefit Corporations to design, measure and report their impact, reading sustainability also through the numbers that matter to banks, customers and investors.
Being independent means choosing who to work with, according to your own values. A privilege earned over time.

I study Economics in Pisa and write my degree thesis in Madrid on comparative insolvency law. I do my first internship in Pontedera and immediately realise that business consulting is my world.
Then Milan. Almost six years at a professional firm in Porta Venezia, with the rattle of the tram in the background. I qualify as a chartered accountant and learn from outstanding colleagues, international clients and complex structures, but above all from the people who came by to collect their financial statements and F24 tax forms and told me about the Milan that was no more.
But I start to feel the knot of my tie tightening.
I set off, travel, walk, South America, Spain and Sicily; I come back to Tuscany with a clear idea, to work independently alongside businesses with whom to share not only numbers and plans, but also the desire to change things. I discover corporate social responsibility and Benefit Corporations, train in sustainability and ESG reporting and become a certified impact assessor. In the meantime I also return to university, with a teaching post on a second-level Master’s programme in Pisa. The circle, at least geographically, is complete.
After 15 years of experience, I combine an accountant’s reading of the numbers with a strategic vision of sustainability and risk analysis. I am based in Florence and work throughout Italy.
I always start from a “why”, and I have learnt to say no now and then. Because not everything that can be done is worth doing.
We are so focused on not stopping that we have stopped asking where we are going.
I believe the real risk is getting used to a development model that consumes more than it can give back. Resources are not infinite and impacts do not disappear when they are moved elsewhere. Businesses have both the responsibility and the ability to influence this trajectory, through strategic choices, production processes and the way they generate value. Because every business can make a difference and, when choices move in the same direction, changing the current becomes possible.
Businesses today face complex regulations and unpredictable scenarios. That is why I take an interdisciplinary approach, across sectors, that connects risks, impacts and opportunities and turns them into strategic choices.
In this context, I give particular weight to the sea and the Blue Economy, without losing sight of a resource set to become ever more strategic for every sector, water. Water availability, efficient consumption management and climate risks affect the whole production system, well beyond activities directly linked to the sea. Understanding these interconnections means helping businesses to anticipate future challenges and generate long-term value, without compromising the resources we depend on.
With caution, because change requires awareness.
With confidence, because we can still steer it.
I have worked with businesses in these sectors.
I speak Italian, English and Spanish, and have a basic knowledge of French.
